vc.web.local Fugro backs Mubadala Energy’s Deepwater Gas Project - Offshore Network

This critical project will support the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, laying the foundation for the award of the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract and guiding the detailed design of the Tangkulo Field development.

The Tangkulo Field will include offshore subsea wells linked by flowlines to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, which will process and export gas. The treated gas will be transported via a dedicated pipeline to an Onshore Receiving Facility in Aceh, Indonesia. Fugro will deploy its advanced geo-data acquisition tools, including the deepwater autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and the Seafloor Drill 2 robotic seafloor drill, for precise data collection.

“We are proud to support Mubadala Energy on this deepwater development,” said Shalu Shajahan, Regional Business Line Director, MSC Asia Pacific. “This project showcases our global expertise in deepwater geology and geohazard assessments, critical for confident decision-making during development. It reflects our commitment to enabling complex offshore developments through high-quality Geo-data insights and technical excellence.”
