Aker Solutions has been awarded a deal with BP for the provision of engineering and integrity services across the oil giant’s North Sea assets.

The new agreement, which includes engineering, integrity management, project support and operational services, expands Aker Solutions’ existing support for BP’s west of Shetland assets to also include central North Sea assets.

The contract will be managed by Aker Solutions' Life Cycle segment from its facilities in Aberdeen, Scotland and is expected to support approximately 50 positions.

The agreement has an initial duration of three years, with two optional one-year extensions.
